Living the Christian Life
How can we live a Christian life in an unchristian world? How can we grow more
holy and Christ-focused in a society that is becoming increasingly sinful and
self-centered? Dr. Joel Beeke will address these types of critical, practical,
and personal questions in three topics at the conference.
The theme of the conference is Living the Christian Life.
His three topics are entitled:
• Cultivating Sanctification: How Can I Be More Holy?
• Developing Spiritual maturity: How Can I Grow in Christ?
• Overcoming Enemies of Holiness: How Can I Conquer Sin?

theological professor, and worldwide conference speaker, we anticipate that, with the

Dr. Joel R. Beeke
Dr. Joel R. Beeke is president and professor of systematic theology and homiletics at Puritan Reformed
Theological Seminary, a pastor of the Heritage Netherlands Reformed Congregation in Grand Rapids, Michigan,
editor of Banner of Sovereign Grace Truth, editorial director of Reformation Heritage Books, president of
Inheritance Publishers, and vice-president of the Dutch Reformed Translation Society. He has written,
co-authored, or edited seventy books (most recently, Parenting by God’s Promises: How to Raise Children
in the Covenant of Grace, Living for the Glory of God: An Introduction to Calvinism, Meet the Puritans,
Contagious Christian Living, Calvin for Today, Developing a Healthy Prayer Life, and Taking Hold of God),
and contributed 2,000 articles to Reformed books, journals, periodicals, and encyclopedias. His Ph.D. is
in Reformation and Post-Reformation theology from Westminster Theological Seminary. He is frequently
called upon to lecture at seminaries and to speak at Reformed conferences around the world. He and his
wife Mary have been blessed with three children: Calvin, Esther, and Lydia.

The Fraser Valley Bible Conference is a joint effort between several churches in the greater
Fraser Valley, B.C. The churches currently supporting this conference are:

• Immanuel Covenant Reformed Church
• Langly Free Reformed Church
• Orthodox Reformed Church in New Westminster
Why
It is the objective of the annual Fraser Valley Bible Conference to
advance the cause of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Fraser Valley and beyond, and to equip the
churches in the Fraser Valley to be faithful and effective witnesses of the Saviour and his
gospel.
How
